Dallas Manson Joins GS Power Partners as Head of Development Management

Dallas Manson

GS Power Partners is proud to welcome Dallas Manson as the new Head of Development Management. With a deep background in distributed generation and battery storage, and a passion for improving processes and mentoring others, Dallas brings fresh energy and strategic vision to the team.

In her new role, Dallas will focus on evaluating project portfolios, improving development efficiencies, and refining how projects move through the company’s pipeline. “I’m really excited to look at the company holistically,” she says. “There’s a solid foundation here, and I see a lot of opportunity to streamline our current processes and drive long-term growth.”

During her time at Nexamp, the company grew from 90 to 450 people. Dallas was instrumental in driving the company’s growth across the Northeast, leading a 185+ MW portfolio of distributed generation and community solar projects across New York and New Jersey. She managed projects from origination through commercial operation and played a key role in shaping the company’s commercial and industrial rooftop strategy. Her leadership contributed to securing major utility partnerships, winning state incentives and RFPs, and delivering Nexamp’s first Non-Wires Alternative solar and storage project with National Grid.

Why Renewables?

Dallas studied communications and environmental science at Denison University, where she knew early on that she wanted to work in solar and wind. She got her start on a trading floor, where she first learned about SRECs and then quickly immersed herself in the solar world at a small development firm in Boston.

“I was lucky to get a crash course in the industry,” she recalls. “Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to build and manage a diverse project portfolio, lead teams, and teach others how to develop projects the right way. But after spending much of my career on the front end of development, I was ready to deepen my understanding of what happens next: how projects are acquired, financed and ultimately owned. That’s what drew me to GS Power Partners.”

Since day one, Dallas has felt right at home. “The team is incredible – hardworking, collaborative, and genuinely committed to our goals. People wear a lot of hats here, which keeps us nimble. There’s a real openness to feedback and change, which is rare and refreshing.”

Advocating for Women in Renewables

Beyond her technical expertise, Dallas is a fierce advocate for women in renewables. “It’s still uncommon to see women in leadership roles in this space, so seeing leaders like Lori (Arndt, CSO) and Amanda (Zurla, CDO) here was inspiring. I didn’t have a female mentor when I started, and it’s important to me to be that resource for others.”

Dallas is actively involved in organizations like WRISE (Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy) and credits leaders like Abby Hopper of SEIA as major influences. “Whether it’s grabbing a coffee or hopping on a call, I try to show up for other women. In this industry, when you meet a woman, you have a friend for life.”

While Dallas is laser-focused on driving impact at GS Power Partners, she’s not shy about her dream outside the office: opening a small coffee shop. “I’ve always loved the idea of creating a space centered around great coffee, meaningful conversation, and community. Traveling in Europe, I am always inspired by how people gather outside, connect, and slow down. One day, I’d like to bring that experience to life.”

Until then, Dallas is pouring her energy into helping GS Power Partners grow and evolve – one project, one process, and one relationship at a time.
